Through the years, I have seen the church that I've grown–up with developed into a more beautiful religious and missionary place, the now a Minor Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary of Manaoag.

In February, the famous pilgrimage site of the North was recognized as a basilica. It’s the only minor basilica, a first of its kind in the province of Pangasinan.

I have witnessed a lot of improvements, from the church activities and events, beautification of its surrounding area to its elevation as a minor basilica, the Manaoag Shrine truly is a proof of the strong faith of every Pangasinensi and the Filipino people as a whole.

A serene fountain situated in the front square, the welcoming façade adorned with a papal seal, timeworn mosaic floor tiles, elegantly beautiful altar surrounded with well–arranged set of flowers, tinted great dome, a number of murals and lovely paintings, century–old stone and brick–walled columns, and a peaceful garden ornamented with blossoming plants, vibrant carps in the tranquil pond and life–size religious images, are just some of the many changes and attractive spots that can be seen inside the shrine.

Devotees do visit to ask for guidance, forgiveness and to recognize all of Her wondrous blessings and miracles. Each day the Basilica Minore del Nuestra Señora del Santísimo Rosario de Manaoag is visited by thousands of guests and pilgrims from the neighboring towns and provinces.
